[bioontology-support] [bioportal-user-group] BioPortal User Group TCon scheduling

Hi Nathan,

As you surmised, Scopus and Web of Science would not be able to be added due
to the cost of the licenses for those resources.

I'll add it to the Feature Request tracker and we can see if that's
possible.

Hi Trish --

Yes, Scopus from Elsevier or a resource like Web of Science (or even Google
Scholar). Any of those would allow us to draw from literature resources
beyond PubMed which is important for nanoscience. However, I think they're
all fraught with serious licensing issues...

Thanks,

Nathan

Ok, do you mean Scopus from Elsevier?

Hi Trish --

We've been in close enough contact with the Bioportal staff that most of our
needs have already been addressed. I'll Cc Dennis to see if he has any
additional suggestions but I think we're pretty happy users right now
(unless you'd like to add Scopus as an OBR resource). :)

Thanks,

Nathan

Hi Nathan,

The meeting will cover a demo of the new features of BioPortal and collect
input on requested features. This feedback will be merged with that from the
All-Hands meeting and will then be listed as survey items for all on the
BioPortal user group email to rate in importance. If there are specific
features that you would like to request, please do send those along.

Hi Trish --

Unfortunately, my schedule has filled up for that time in the past week; I
forgot to update the Doodle poll. I think Dennis will be able to attend and
hopefully can provide sufficient feedback. If you can send me the agenda
for the meeting, I'll provide my feedback remotely.

Sorry,

Nathan

Dear BioPortal User Group,

We would like to get your feedback on the newly added features to BioPortal.
We would also like your help in setting the priorities for the features in
the upcoming releases.

We would like to schedule a TCon the second week of February, 9-13 to
discuss these items. Please complete the following Doodle schedule request,
with proposed days/times for the week of February 9-13:
http://doodle.com/participation.html?pollId=6eez6hkbvuwukuci We'll have the
survey up until Monday, February 2, before deciding on the schedule.

Trish and Natasha
