Subject: Re: [bioontology-support] Seeking count of concepts in an
ontology via Web service

1. I'm not seeing a tag for "ontology version id" in
http://rest.bioontology.org/bioportal/ontologies?apikey=3d372416-6c58-4026
-8443-372982439b5f. What am I missing?

The ontology version id is the value of the element <id> in the web
service call above (List the latest version of all ontologies). The value
of <ontologyId> is also referred to as the virtual ontology identifier.

2. How does one go from a virtual ontology ID to "ontology version id"? A
quick look at the wiki didn't reveal much.

Does the information above help?

Yes, but see below.

If not, another web service call that might be useful is the "Get all
ontology versions from a virtual ontology id" [1].

Is there a call to retrieve the LATEST version id for a given ontology?

Y

Trish
