Dear Trish,

I have no ontologies in Bioportal I'd like to get mappings for,
I am just very interesting about the algorithm.
It is pretty nice if you send me a copy.

Hi Panwen,

As best I can tell since the LOOM code was incorporated into the main BioPortal code base the LOOM plugin for Protege is not being maintained. Do you have an ontology in BioPortal that you are interested to get mappings for? If not, since I've run LOOM locally for my own ontology development projects in the past I still have a copy of LOOM and can send the file to you.

Dear Trish,

Thanks a lot for your reply.

I am a PhD student in The University of Hong Kong.

I have read the paper published in AMIA 2009 describing LOOM,
and claiming that LOOM is publicly available
at http://bioontology.org/tools.html , but I do not find any.

I have also checked your wiki about LOOM:
http://www.bioontology.org/wiki/index.php/LOOM , it says that
LOOM can be obtained at http://www.stanford..edu/~amirg/Loom.jar.zip
However, when I opened it, I just got "Access forbidden".

Is there any way I can get it, or is it just not publicly available now?
Thx.

Dear Panwen,

Can you expand on what way LOOM is not available? I'm not aware of any changes.

Thanks,
Trish

Hi,

I quite appreciate the great work of BioPortal.
But may I ask that why LOOM is not availabe now?
