Thank you Paul and Ketty. That was really helpful.

I may, indeed have other questions. Thank you for the offer.

Best wishes,
Pam

Pam,

Ketty is correct, you would need to use something that supports OWL files if you are clicking on the "Ontology" link under "Downloads". Otherwise, you can click on the menu where it says "Summary" and select "Terms" from the list to see the full ontology.

You can also see the terms here:
http://bioportal.bioontology.org/ontologies/1581?p=terms

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Hi Pam,

thanks for your interest in the Health Indicator Ontology (ID 1581). I am forwarding your issue to the BioPortal support staff. Generally you need an owl reader application to view the downloaded owl file. I use Protege (more information here http://protege.stanford.edu/ ).

Quick question, can you access and see the expanded ontology in BioPortal?

Subject: Ontology 1581

Dear Ketty,

I would like to access your ontology, referenced at:
http://bioportal.bioontology.org/ontologies/1581

I am having trouble accessing it with my Microsoft Browser, however. The error message is that the format is unrecognised. I notice the format is OWL. Is there anything I need to do to view it in the OWL format?

Kind regards,
Pam
