Chandel,
The version of RxNorm that is in BioPortal was uploaded on Oct 10, 2011. It looks like we've updated it about once a year for the past three years. I'm not sure how often RxNorm remaps their CUIs. There are no 'NCBO CUIs', we simply use the CUIs that are provided with the version of RxNorm we have loaded.
I've requested that we load the newest version of RxNorm into our system. We'll let you know when that is finished.
Please let me know if you have further questions.
Paul

One of my colleagues, Jessie Tannenbaum may have contacted you regarding the use of the NCBO free tool for mapping unstructured medication terminologies into RxNorm codes. We have integrated the NCBO bioportal widget API into our data entry registry and have run a test to validate the mappings into RxNorm codes via manual entry into RxNAV. We have been very successful in validating our process, however we have noticed that during one of our tests of validating a term in RxNAV, we received a message stating:
>
> Rxcui 215610 is obsolete and has been remapped to Rxcui 1089783. remapped data will be displayed

If so, how much of a delay is there in updating the NCBO cui that is mapped to the term? If not, then will this remapping message always appear when entering obsolete cuis in RxNAV?
