[bioontology-support] [BioPortal] Feedback from Joseph Shell

Hi Joe,

The ontologies have a development status, which can be either alpha, beta, production or retired. An ontology that has the development status of production is one that should be fairly mature, e.g. reasonable is-a hierarchy, most terms with definitions, is not undergoing major structural changes which can occur early in the ontology development process.
