This is not good.

If you are trying to support developers (that's mostly the point of an API,
right?), obviously all API requests are going to be cross-domain. You should
start defaulting to JSON or at least give some option for getting API data
in JSON. Why not simply give the option to look for a `format=json`
parameter in the request? This way you bypass the Accept header.
