[bioontology-support] A few questions on the new Search

Trish,

Both of these are bugs. We believe that the first of these (jump to search
on synonyms) may be quite easy to fix. With luck we can have something out
this week. The second (search via a partial id) will take more work.

Ray

Subject: [bioontology-support] A few questions on the new Search

I was trying a few searches using the Web UI to search for "life cycle" in
Uberon [1]. Entering the string "life cycl" in the "Jump To" box initiates
the autocomplete which includes "life cycle" in the list of selections.
However, entering the synonym term "lifespan" results in the autocomplete
displaying "No results found". The autocomplete also does not display any
results when I enter the term id as either "UBERON_0000104",
"UBERON:0000104" or "http://purl.obolibrary.org/obo/UBERON_0000104".

1) Does the search not return results when the input matches a synonym or
is this a bug?
2) Does the search not return results when a term ID is used as the search
input or is this a bug?

Also, all of the hyperlinked items on the "Classes" page for the term
"life cycle" [2] fail to resolve.
