[bioontology-support] Annotating large texts

In principle it is unlimited. If people cause us problems though we may
install some limits.

Note that after 60 seconds your connection will time out though. This is a
practical limit.

Also note that you may have trouble doing a GET with a long text. You
would be better off using a POST.

Thanks Ray,

I still don't see anything about the text size on the new documentation.
Does it mean it's unlimited ?

Sorry but this documentation is old. I will take it down. You need to use
the annotation functions documented at:

Subject: [bioontology-support] Annotating large texts

I tried to annotate a large text (around 65000 characters) using the
annotator and I get an error saying "Please use less than 500 words. If
you need to annotate larger pieces of text you can use the
<> Annotator
Web Service".

I tried, but I have the same limitation with the API and couldn't get any
parameter to increase that limit in the docs.

Have I missed something or do we have to split large texts on the client
side and send the chunks for annotation 1 by 1 ?

Thanks in advance.

Best regards,
