[bioontology-support] annotation service result

Hi All,

I would like to see if the annotation-ontology (AO) could be added to the BIoPortal ontologies as another separate ontology that could be used by the Annotator by selecting it, just as you would NCIT, etc.

I believe this would help many organizations in the annotation of their large collections of scientific documents that pertain to their specific research area, etc.

Hi all,

Is there anyone that would be interested in having the Annotator results
expressed using AO : ?

We are looking into this in our local VA.

This thread refers to an old version of the annotator which is no longer
supported. The new version is documented here:

That said though we still don't have documentation about the matchType item.
Basically it can have 2 values: "PREF", "SYN", depending on whether the
match was made on the preferred name or the synonym of the matched term.

I see there
that you don't propose the schema of annotation service results.

But have you write an informal description of the result?
Wath the meaning of each node?

More particulary, what values can take matchType node, and explanation of
the values?

Best Regards,
