[bioontology-support] [BioPortal] Feedback from mikayla-grace

Hi Mikayla,

First troubleshooting step would be to restart the appliance.

You can do so by running bprestart command form the OS command line or you
can simply reboot the VM.

Let me know if that doesn’t resolve this issue.

Thanks,

-Alex

Feedback:

Downloaded the NCBO Virtual Appliance, version 2.4, and the NCIT ontolotogy
in the OWL format. Happy to see synonyms are supported, however the
annotation endpoint appears to fail, that is no annotations are found.
Annotations work for NCIT for the 2.2 VM but not synonyms. We need both.

The VM NCIT metrics match that of the public Bioportal @ 113309 classes. The
only difference is that the VM NCIT ontology does not appear to have
definitions.

Is there a tweak I can make to the VM so that annotations work?

Thanks,
Mikayla Grace
