[bioontology-support] Ontology Recommender - using more than 500 words

Hi Ray,

I tried using POST, however, what I got now is 504 gateway timeout. I am trying to post around 13KB of data. Is there any possible way to do this? Another option would be to send the data bit by bit as suggested by Jim. However, I would loose the statistics such as the normalized score etc.

If you use a POST on the Recommender this should work fine without any limit. If instead you try at GET you may find the URL gets truncated at some point and this will mess you up.

Subject: [bioontology-support] Ontology Recommender - using more than 500 words

Hi,

I am using the Ontology Recommender to get recommendations on the best ontology to use. I tried using several keywords and I am very happy with the result. I planned on using the recommender to get recommendations based on 700 terms that I have collected from my corpus. Unfortunately, BioPortal's Ontology Recommender allows only 500 words. May I know how I could extend this feature? I've read the API Documentation for the recommender but I can't seem to understand how I'd be able to use it. I do have basic Java knowledge but I have no experience in using API. I'd be grateful if you could help me on this.

Regards,

Nur Zareen Zulkarnain
