Hi Alex,

Thank you for contacting us.  I’ve checked our monitoring system, and there didn’t appear any recent downtimes on our side. I can access the term Melanoma from MEDDRA with no issues at the moment:<>

MEDDRA is a sizable ontology, so it does take a few seconds to bring up the class page, but otherwise, I see no other issues.

When you say “connecting to the BioPortal API web service”, do you mean our REST service endpoint? If so, the URL in that case would be different:<> (you need to append your API key: ?apikey=mykey)

Perhaps there was some momentary glitch when you tried executing your requests. Please try again and let me know if you continue having issues.

I am having issues connecting to the Bio Portal API Web service via my web application. When Logging in I am receiving an error when attempting to view ontologies, such as this one here:

Is there currently an issue with the site that could be causing this downtime, or does everything look OK from your side?
