[bioontology-support] [BioPortal] Feedback from Hamideh Sabbaghi

Ontology acronyms are unique identifiers in our system, and are not allowed to be changed once created.

If you want to use a new acronym, you can create an entirely new ontology entry and we can delete the old ontology for you.

We uploaded our proposed ontology for a type of genetic retinal disease entitled "Inherited Retinal Dystrophies" to the BioPortal website on 10 July, 2019.
We tied to perform some corrections on the submitted information on the page of registration, but we have not able to change the acronym of our ontology. As seen, the acronym of our ontology is determined by an individual characteristics which is necessary to be revised as "Inherited Retinal Dystrophies" while the website does not allow us to perform.

I am looking forward to hearing from you soon.
Sincerely Yours,
Hamideh Sabbaghi, PhD Candidate
