Thank you, Karl. I was wondering on this, thanks for the confirmation. We will seek alternatives. -Lulu

Hi Lulu, good afternoon!

Unfortunately, I don’t believe AFS keeps logs of individual file accesses.

If you are concerned about an inadvertent information disclosure (for example, something being public when it shouldn’t be), the Privacy Office can suggest what to do:

https://privacy.stanford.edu/privacy-incident

If you need help with ACLs, and getting them set up correctly, the AFS Team are the ones to contact:

https://stanford.service-now.com/it_services?id=sc_cat_item&sys_id=8640d05a13bce2008a9175c36144b0a5

Good luck!

Hello,

Sorry if this is a repost, I couldn’t find it in the archives. Our department has needs to check user access log to department AFS folders on farmshare. Is there an easy way to do this? Thank you for any helps on this.

Best,
Lulu
