What's needed to get this working on Mozilla (as opposed to
Netscape)?
I currently have Red Hat Linux 7.0.91, with mozilla-0.9.1
installed as a set of RPM packages (mozilla-0.9.2-0.i386.rpm, etc.).
The current JDK was acquired as j2sdk-1.3.0-FCS-linux-i386.tar.bz2
from blackdown.org, and is installed in /usr/java. System paths
include:
$PATH: ... /usr/java/bin ...
$JAVA_HOME: /usr/java
Finally, the Java plugin from blackdown was linked to mozilla as
follows:
ln -s /usr/java/jre/plugin/i386/javaplugin.so
/usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/javaplugin.so
So, this should work:
http://www.fruitfly.org/annot/go/plain-applet.html
but instead seems to hang. Any advice on how to get it working? I
would prefer using Mozilla to Netscape for practical reasons (at
this point Mozilla seems somewhat better).
Thanks,
