Problems with gene association files

You may need to update your file sources. There are currently NO annotations
to obsoleted terms in the MGI file. When a term is obsoleted, then are
removed on the next submission (done weekly). There hasn¹t been for several
weeks. When there are a lot of terms obsoleted (like removal of the antigen
terms), this becomes arduous. Each annotation is looked at to see if it can
be replaced with a newer/better/more appropriate one, so it can the whole
week to clear them.

If there is nothing known about a function, process, or component, then it
is important to say so; it means that someone looked; when there is
something, then the ³unknown² is replaced. If there is no annotation then
for us at least, it means someone hasn¹t looked yet.
