DAG-Edit 1.400-beta-1 is now available. Get your copy at

http://sourceforge.net/projects/geneontology

This is truly a beta release. This version is NOT INTENDED FOR PRODUCTION
WORK. Please download this version only if you are interested in beta-testing
DAG-Edit and the new OBO flat file format.

This version of DAG-Edit contains a completely rebuilt core. All the
datamodels and the undo system have been rebuilt around history items, which
should allow us to do some very interesting things with version checking.
DAG-Edit now incorporates all the concepts developed in the OBO file format
spec, including:

    * Support for multiply rooted graphs
    * Full support for disconnected/cyclical graphs
    * Special storage and treatment of obsolete terms
    * Support for annotation of replacement terms to obsolete terms (to do
this, just drag the replacement term onto the obsolete term)
    * Teatment of relationship types as terms
    * A built in definition of the is_a relationship type from which all other
type definitions derive
    * Support for synonym types

and many other changes.

Further, the entire display caching system has been redesigned, which should
allow for much faster selection, editing, and searching.

If you encounter any problems, or just can't understand how a feature works,
please email me or submit a bug report on sourceforge.
