Saccharomyces GFF3 file released

SGD has just released a GFF3 file for the Saccharomyces cerevisiae
reference genome. This GFF3 file provides features mapped to the
genome, chromosomal sequences, gene product names and aliases, gene
descriptions and more. This file is fully compatible with the current
GFF3 specification, including discussions at the recent GMOD meeting.
See the document at for
the latest specification. Upon our testing, with assistance from Scott
Cain of GMOD, the file has not errors with the GBrowse and Chado
loading scripts. GO annotations for each S. cerevisiae gene product
are represented in the last column as 'Ontology_term=A_list_of_GOID'.
The file is updated once a week from the SGD database and available for
download from the SGD Anonymous FTP site.

Feedback and comments are requested.
