Thanks to those who have responded to me previous email about the
annotation camp to be held this summer at Stanford in May or June. If
you're interested in coming, have not responded yet, and would like me to
take your scheduling preferences into account, please do so by tomorrow,
Friday Feb 25th, particularly with dates that would work for you. Next
week, I'll review the responses I have so far and start working on
choosing dates and booking rooms.
Dear GO Consortium members and users of GO,
Mike, Eurie, and I are starting to plan another Annotation Camp for early
to mid summer of this year. Currently, we are trying to organize a meeting
of three to five days long in May or June, with the number of days and
specific dates chosen to best accomodate those who wish to attend.
To aid in our planning, group leaders, or one person per group, please
answer the questions below for me by Wednesday, February 16th.
1. Is your group interested in attending? If so, please give your group's
name and how many representatives you think you would like to send.
2. What weeks would or would not work for your group? (A couple weeks that
don't work for us at Stanford have been left off the list of options
deliberately.) Please tell me if a given week is Preferred, Possible, or
Not Possible. You can also comment on specific dates within a block.
May 1 - May 7
May 8 - May 14
May 22 - May 28
May 29 - June 4
June 14 - June 18
June 19 - June 25
June 26 - July 2
3. The first Annotation Camp lasted 5 days and we had plenty to talk about
for the entire time. However, it could be shortened slightly, to 3 or 4
days, if that will facilitate attendance by interested groups. Please let
me know your preference with respect to meeting length: 3, 4, or 5 days.
4. Though we are still in the planning stages, please let us know if there
are any specific topics that you would be interested in discussing, and if
you came last time, if there was anything you found particularly useful.
