January 11 2005: GOA releases.
==============================
GOA (GO Annotation at EBI) is a project run by the European
Bioinformatics Institute that aims to provide assignments of gene
products to the Gene Ontology (GO) resource. The project announces
the 25th release of all GO annotations that exist in UniProt
(GOA-UniProt) as well as an 27th release of annotation for the
Swiss-Prot/TrEMBL/Ensembl/RefSeq non-redundant human proteome set
(GOA-Human) and 13th release of GOA mouse and rat and a 16th release of
our PDB data set. This release also sees the 1st release of GOA UniProt
Proteome sets (see below).

** NEWS **
GOA is pleased to announce the first release of the GOA UniProt Proteome
Sets. These are GO annotations to 218 UniProt non-redundant proteome
sets. UniProt non-redundant proteome sets are collections of UniProt
records that define complete non-redundant proteomes for each species
whose genome has been completely sequenced and is in the public domain.
