July 25 2005: GOA releases.
===========================

GOA (GO Annotation at EBI) is a project run by the European Bioinformatics
Institute that aims to provide assignments of gene products to the Gene
Ontology (GO) resource. The project announces the 30th release of all GO
annotations that exist in UniProt (GOA-UniProt) as well as an 32nd release
of annotation for the Swiss-Prot/TrEMBL/Ensembl/RefSeq non-redundant human
proteome set (GOA-Human), the 18th release of GOA mouse and rat and the
21st release of our PDB data set. This release also sees the 6th release
of GOA UniProt Proteome sets, the 5th releases of GOA arabidopsis and
zebrafish and a 2nd release of GOA chicken.

** NEWS **

GOA now includes external annotation from GDB and AgBase. GOA would like
to thank GDB, especially Resham Kulkarni and AgBase, especially Fiona
McCarthy, for their help in integrating these annotations.
