In case some of you aren't aware of the work of Tactical Tech (who have been doing mobile/online security work longer than most), they have a growing resource of tips, videos and guides:

http://onorobot.org

There's more information on their wider work in their recent newsletter, copied below:

Hello from Tactical Tech,

You've signed up to this mailing list to receive brief (and hopefully only helpful!) updates from us from time to time. We're happy to announce some new resources available online now:

1. Just Out: Animated films, Survival in the Digital Age

Take a behind-the-scenes tour of the digital world with ONO (the robot) in our animated series, Survival in the Digital Age. Using his special power to see behind information, ONO is on a mission to reveal the digital traces we unknowingly leave behind and the ways we expose ourselves in our daily interactions using the internet, email and mobile phones. With ONO’s help, you can get the best of new technologies by understanding the risks and minimising them.

The first film "The Traces We Leave Behind" is now online (https://onorobot.org/) and the following four will be released on a weekly basis. They're a lot of fun to watch and they provide helpful advice on how to navigate some of the risks rights advocates face in the digital world.

We're also inviting people to host ONO parties (https://onorobot.org/en/parties) as a way to engage friends and colleagues in discussion and debate around the issues of privacy, access to information and freedom of expression and their impact.

2. 10 Tactics' new languages and resources

It's been over 18 months since we launched 10 Tactics (http://www.informationactivism.org/), the film and set of resources about info-activism, and it's still finding new ways to reach more rights advocates and help people explore the possibilities of new technologies for campaigning. In the last 2 months, notable developments include:

1. A French DVD including the 10 Tactics film with French subtitles and translated cards; and the 10 Tactics cards including info-activism case studies, tips and tools translated into Chinese (traditional and simplified characters). Both available to download from http://www.informationactivism.org/en/Download

2. A Belarussian version of the website (http://www.informationactivism.org/be) thanks to a team of translators and ThinkFabrik, who did the website build.

4. Especially for those who are interested in using 10 Tactics for workshops and trainings, the 10 Tactics Workbox which provides a concise catalogue of all 35 info-activism stories featured in the film and cards (to be found at http://www.informationactivism.org/en/workbox)

Happy to make introductions if anyone's interested. Just reply to me directly.
