Vol 9, No 1/2 (2011) **** A Global Surveillance Society?****
This is a double issue in which most of the articles were initially
presented at the 2010 Surveillance Studies Network / Surveillance & Society
conference, A Global Surveillance Society?. The conference was held jointly
with the European Science Foundation's COST initiative, Living in
Surveillance Socities (LiSS) <http://www.liss-cost.eu/>, at City University
in London. Different aspects of the conference were organised by Gavin
Smith, Kirstie Ball, Clive Norris and William Webster, and thanks and
acknowledgements go out to them all.****
