If you have https://github.com/downloads/GPGTools/GPGTools/GPGTools-20111224.dmg file then GPGMail is already part of the GPGTools installer.

The main features of this version are:

• Compatible with OS X Lion.
• All applications are 64-bit compatible.
• Integrated GPGMail (OS X 10.5 to 10.7, Universal).
• Integrated GPG Keychain Access (OS X 10.5 to 10.7, Universal).
• Integrated GPGServices (OS X 10.6 to 10.7).
• Integrated GPGPreferences (OS X 10.6 to 10.7).
• Integrated MacGPG 2 (OS X 10.5 to 10.7, Intel).
• Integrated MacGPG 1 (OS X 10.5 to 10.7, Universal).
• Integrated Enigmail (Thunderbird 3 to 8).

If you're not running that version, then you can setup GPG mail with Mail.app on OS X (as I have running here OS X 10.6.8) by using GPGMail app (OS X 10.5 to 10.7):

http://www.gpgtools.org/gpgmail/index.html This is the file you'll need https://github.com/downloads/GPGTools/GPGMail/GPGMail-2.0a30.dmg

Generate your keys (if you don't have any already). It is pretty straight forward.

There's even a nice little screencast:

http://support.gpgtools.org/kb/how-to/watch-our-screencast

If you want to send me a mail directly we can test it if you like.

If anyone else is running Thunderbird or Mail.app and has been put off by the usability issues (and God knows there has been plenty!) then now may be a good time to try it. Thats not to say there are not issues still present, but they have diminished in number.

hope that helps,

Bernard

That said, it looks like this solves the usability issues that prevented me from adopting PGP sooner. Unless others can suggest problems with GPGTools, I'd highly recommend anyone on OSX check it out!
