Endless Mobile is a start-up in mobile computing with the mission to bring
computing to billions around the world who can afford a phone, but not a
computer. They are students at Stanford GSB right now and have already
secured $10 million dollars in funding. They already have an amazing
product built and are looking to launch in China and Brazil. **

ENDLESS MOBILE
Endless Mobile is a funded early stage startup. We have set out to give
computing to the developing world. 80% of those in the developing world do
not have a computer. Smartphones are a luxury today, but that is changing
quickly. The line between phone and computer is blurring. Tomorrow, in
China, Brazil, India, Indonesia and beyond, the next billion people will
meet the information revolution hands on - through their phones. We are
only beginning to understand what that will mean for the world. Phones will
be the gateway to access - to healthcare, to education, to micro-finance,
to the day-to-day information that is essential for growth. The phone will
be the communication device, the entertainment hub, the doctor, the
employer and the teacher. It will be the center, in a way we can now only
dream of. And in a world with 5 billion mobile phones, we can only imagine
the opportunity.

But smartphones today are still limited. Endless Mobile has a way to
unlock their potential. It is an extraordinary platform. We believe that
we can give a billion people access to information, build an extremely
successful company and have a hell of a time doing it. And we are looking
for the people who will help us do that.

OPEN POSITIONS
Operator
We are building a company. We have to flush out our strategy, hire and
manage a team, do deep ecosystem analysis and lay the groundwork for our
next round of funding. You should have experience in the earliest stages
of an organization. You need to be great at execution yet comfortable with
ambiguity. You need to be able to juggle a dozen balls, knowing which ones
can fall and which ones must never be dropped. You love people:
collaborating, debating, selling and guiding them. And you know the
developing world intimately. It bears repeating: we are building a
company. The right person knows exactly what that means.

Feet on the (global) Street
We are an inherently international organization. We need someone who will
travel around the globe refining and selling our idea. On any given day
you may find yourself selling NGO’s and retail outlets on the technology of
the future, negotiating with manufacturers in Shenzhen or picking the
brains of teenagers in the favelas of Rio. This person needs to be a
storyteller, someone who has an engaging personality and a way with words.
They need to be able to empathize, understanding the needs of our users.
They need to have significant experience in China or Brazil and need to
crave more. Hardware experience or sales experience are big pluses.
Either Mandarin or Portuguese are near-musts. A yearning for adventure is
a prerequisite.

Technology Gurus
We are looking for Android and browser developers who know how to bend
these platforms to their will. These are not easy problems. We are
architecting and implementing a brand new platform. Our front-end
application development mostly requires that we build things that have
never been built. We have to hack the Android kernel to push its core OS
capabilities. And we are building a backend cloud infrastructure that has
to be highly scalable. We are looking for the type of people who were
trying to hack government systems at age 12. You need to have an
insatiable curiosity and a Zen-like focus on intellectual challenges. We
are looking for code-crackers and communicators. We want people who can
help us build a product and a team. ****
