If that's true, it's an argument /for/ free trade.  Nations are
abominations, and deserve to die.

A nation, with its congenital citizenship imposition, violates the
principle of freedom and anarchy that relations among people be by
mutual consent or not at all.

So in an uncharacteristic weak moment, Sagan fell victim to the
popular misconception that a nation is something worth preserving.

In fact, a nation can be regarded as the institutionalized violation
of the golden and silver rules about which Sagan so sagaciously wrote.
