[mininet-discuss] Recent Mininet additions

If you are person that gets the latest Mininet from GIT, there are a
few recent additions, with the first being of interest to a few people
that recently in the mailing list.

1. You can now choose which version of Open vSwitch you want to
install. Normally during the install of Mininet, you used the '-v'
option to install Open vSwitch. This would install whatever the default
version of Open vSwitch that came with the release of your Ubuntu. A
new option has been added to let you choose the version of OVS that you
want and it will be compiled from source. The new '-V' option takes a
parameter where you specify the version of OVS you want installed.

install.sh -V 2.0.0

What is nice, is that you can keep running the above to change which OVS
version you want to test with. Also, if a new version of OVS is
released, just run the above again specifying the new version number,
assuming the installation of OVS didn't change somehow. The version
number must match the version number in the tarball file name like
openvswitch-*2.0.0*.tar.gz located in http://openvswitch.org/releases/.
In this example, the version specified must be 2.0.0.

2. For people that have used my expanded version of MiniEdit, will now
see that my 2.1.0.8.1 version is now included as the updated miniedit.py
file in the examples directory. You can always watch
http://gregorygee.wordpress.com/category/miniedit/ for any new updates.

Enjoy,
Greg
