[openflow-discuss] Open flow controller: Global view of topology

Hi Siraj,

OpenFlow does not currently support a method for topology discovery.   A 
controller can emulate this by sending unique packets out of each switch 
port and determining which ports they show up on.  This is how NOX 
reconstructs the topology.
