Subject: [opensource] Stanford DrupalCamp - help wanted!
Message-ID: <4B47CE39.4010608@stanford.edu>
DrupalCamp
The Stanford University Open Source Lab and Design For Drupal are
hosting a Drupal Camp at the
Stanford Law School on January 23rd and 24th, 2010.
This is a free event and you are invited! A lot can be learned at the
Camp. Open Source events are run by volunteers, and we are seeking
additional folks to help out.
You are also welcome to attend sessions, and acquire new skills in
Drupal. If you feel up to it, you can propose your own session
:
*Saturday* is dedicated to: user experience, focus on design in general,
info architecture
*Sunday* is dedicated to: 'classic' Drupal, Drupal plumbing, anything
modular
Drupal jobs outreach will be either Saturday or Sunday (for employers,
contractors, employment)
Want to help? Sign up
for the
"Open Source Events" mailing list and watch for announcements. We will
be coordinating needs and tasks via e-mail.
Any amount of help you can offer is appreciated! Even if it just means
bringing a video or still camera to record one of the sessions, your
contributions will help make
the Stanford Drupal Camp a success!

Some of you may already know about this group, and some of you may even
have joined (as have I). An information gathering exercise is about to
start, and you may wish to consider joining OSFA to have your voice
(i.e. your Foundation's opinion) heard in the deliberations. Input ends
on 1/29, so there isn't a lot of time.
The current draft for discussion is at
http://opensourceforamerica.org/draft-principles
Comments should be open by the end of the week all being well.
regards
Steve
