[protege-discussion] OntoLing New Release

Dear Protegeans,

A new release of Ontoling (3.0beta) is available on the Ontoling plugin site:

(you can also reach it from the terminologies section of Protégé plugin

This version (3.0beta) of OntoLing works with the last Protégé 3.x releases.

FUNCTIONALITIES: Automatic Linguistic Enrichment (ALE). OntoLing is now capable of prompting the user with suggestions on how to enrich ontological data (only for OWL model, not Protégé Frames) with information coming from the loaded linguistic resources.
OntoLing provides also an interface for adding new ALE plung-ins.

USABILITY: No more need of changing the and restart Protégé file for changing the linguistic resource to be adopted for linguistic enrichment. A new configuration file allows to declare which linguistic resources are installed in your machine and a new OntoLing menu in Protégé allows, through dedicated GUIs, both to edit the configuration file as well as to load at run-time the resources which have been declared inside it.

OntoLing 3.0beta is available as two different distributions:

standard distribution: the plugin and all the needed components, that is: ALE component, linguistic watermark, WordNet and DICT linguistic interfaces

Full Pack distribution: everything in the standard distribution plus a bundled WordNet 2.0 distribution and a lot of Dict dictionaries, everything already configured for being loaded by OntoLing.

This version is marked as beta so, any feedback is welcome :-)
