Subject: [ontolog-invitation] OOR-Ontolog Panel Session - State
of Art in Ontology Repositories II - Thu 2008.12.04
To: ontolog-invitation at

You are cordially invited to join us, virtually, this coming
Thursday 04-December-2008 in a Joint OOR-Ontolog Panel Session.
If you are in research, development or implementation of
ontologies, ontology repositories/registries or semantic
applications, you probably wouldn't want to miss this virtual event.

The session is entitled: "Ontology Registry and Repository
Technology & Infrastructure Landscape - II"

We had a very successful panel session surveying the Ontology
Registry and Repository Technology & Infrastructure Landscape
took place took place back in Spring 2008 (ref.
This session
continues that pursuit and presents more of the state of the art
in ontology repositories. Our expert panel and talks include:

o Dr. Mathieu d'Aquin (KMi, Open University, UK) - "Watson: A
Semantic Web Gateway, and Towards a Decentralized Ontology
o Mr. Matthew Horridge (University of Manchester, UK) - "The
TONES Ontology Repository"
o Dr. Paul Buitelaar (DFKI, Germany) - "OntoSelect: A Browser
and Search Engine for Ontologies"

As before, we will leave ample time for Q&A and open discussion
at this session, after we are done with all the prepared
presentations. We are confident that the mini-series will be
useful for those who seek to find out what semantic wikis are all
about, as well as for the serious developers, administrators and
users of semantic wikis.
