Hi Joachim,

Sorry for the late reply, or if I have already replied to your email before.

The "displayInProjectList" will only work in Protege 3.4, not in 3.3.1. 
I suggest that you use the Protege 3.4 beta which contains many new 
features and bug fixes for the client-server mode. We are also pretty 
close to a release for Protege 3.4, so you can consider it as good 
(actually better) than the 3.3.1.
