[protege-discussion] Script tab Problem - Was RE: Incremental Instance Loading

I tried this with Perl as the language and got

*sys-package-mgr*: processing new jar, 'C:\Program Files\Protege_3.3.1\protege.jar'

*sys-package-mgr*: processing new jar, 'C:\Program Files\Protege_3.3.1\looks-2.1.3.jar'

*sys-package-mgr*: processing new jar, 'C:\Program Files\Protege_3.3.1\unicode_panel.jar'

<and on and on ending with>

Unknown open() mode '>&' at C:\DOCUME~1\q4t\LOCALS~1\Temp\ line 11.

I'm running Protégé 3.3.1 Build 430. Any idea what went wrong?

BTW Python, BeanShell and Ruby seem to work OK

Hi Dennis,

I've got a similar requirement but am programmatically creating a script for use in the Script tab to create the instances.

Subject: [protege-discussion] Incremental Instance Loading

I am building a Protégé taxonomy using a variety of external sources. These sources are updated periodically. It would be useful to do an incremental loading of instance updates rather than have to do a complete load of the universe from scratch (70,000 instances) every time I get an update. Is there a way to do this?

I currently keep static taxonomy.pprj and taxonomy.pont files and programmatically generate the taxonomy.pins file from scratch whenever I get an external update. It would be nicer to incrementally load a separate update.pins file (50-60 instances) into the corpus and then store out the new taxonomy.pins once I have a chance to check it out.
