The documentation you refer to is very outdated. The most recent version is here:http://protege.stanford.edu/doc/pdk/plugins/tab_widget.htmlThis documentation explains how to develop a tab widget plug-in for Protege from scratch. If you are trying to learn about how to develop a plug-in for Protege, you may want to look at this section of our documentation:http://protege.stanford.edu/doc/dev.html#plugins... which has many articles that explain how plug-ins are loaded, plug-in debugging tips, how to create plug-in JAR files, etc. To understand these things, you might want to start with a simple example, rather than trying to use an existing plug-in like the XML Tab.Jennifersara khelifa wrote:

i'm working with Protege_3.3.1, i know that XML Tab plugin is already installed in this version, but i needed to understand its installation for my work. so i uninstalled it and tried to reinstall it, and when i thought that i did everything right (the installation), the plugin didn't appear in the list of tab widgets....i don't really understand what the matter is !!N.B: i followed the stepsfrom this site: http://www.dfki.uni-kl.de/km/java/java/Protege-2000/doc/pdk/tab_widget.html> Date: Wed, 21 May 2008 14:48:16 -0700> From: vendetti at stanford.edu> To: protege-discussion at lists.stanford.edu> Subject: Re: [protege-discussion] installing XML Tab> > Sara,> > The XML Tab is already bundled with the "full" installation of Protege. > There are no additional installation steps necessary.
