[protege-discussion] Problem with Oracle database backend

Hello list,

I encountered the following problem in Protege Version 3.4.3 (Build 572) 
when converting the sample project to format "database" using an Oracle 
11g (11.1.0.7.0) database as backend.

1. Errors at copying knowledgebase
        Exception class java.sql.BatchUpdateException.  Message: 
ORA-01400: cannot insert NULL into ("ESSENTIAL"."ESSENTIALSAMPLE"."FACET")

This problem is already been reported in June 2009 for version 3.4.1 <

> with an Oracle 10g backend but it seems that the recommended fixes were 
not yet included into a current release. Unfortunately the Protege 
bugzilla does not allow me to enter this as a new bug report.
 
Are there plans to improve the support for Oracle databases or is it 
recommended to use a different on (e.g. mysql)?
