Not exactly. DataMaster does not allow you to query the database
directly using OWL constructs, but rather it allows you either:
1) to import the whole content of selected database tables into OWL (or
Protege Frames), basically making an OWL or frames copy of the data in
the database , OR
2) to import in your ontology the structure of the database, i.e. the
metadata from the DB, about what are the tables, columns and
relationships between the tables.
The second type of import could be used by a custom application to query
the data residing in the database by means of OWL classes and
properties. This type of mapping and querying usually would involve also
some SWRL/SQWRL rules. [1, 2]
You may want to take a look at the D2RQ approach, as well, which allows
writing SPARQL queries on an "RDF view" of relational database. [3]
